Woodbridge Stories Live will take place on Friday evening, February 27 at 6:30 pm in The Woodbridge Center. Residents are invited to attend this intimate evening of personal storytelling inspired by the spirit of the Human Library and the intimacy of The Moth Radio Hour. 

Join your neighbors as they take the stage to share stories from their lives told with humor, reflection, and honesty. This event celebrates the experiences that connect us as a community. Woodbridge Stories Live is a free, community event, hosted by the ad hoc Committee on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

In March, the Woodbridge Board of Assessment Appeals will meet to hear appeals relating to assessments for Real Property and Personal Property on the October 1, 2025 Grand List. For an appeal to be heard, an Appeal Application must be completed and returned to the Assessor's Office no later than 4:30 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026.

The Board of Assessment Appeals will meet on the dates noted below. Dates and times are subject to change based upon the number of appeal applications received.   • Wed., March 11, 6-9 pm • Thu., March 12, 6-9 pm • Mon., March 16, 6-9 pmApplications and Application Instructions are located on the Board of Assessment Appeals page on the Town website. Carefully read the application instructions before submitting an application. Individuals filing proper applications shall be notified by March 1 of the date, time, and information relating to their appeal hearing.If appealing the assessed value of your property, remember to include documents to support your claim or an appraiser’s analysis of your property value based on the October 1, 2024 revaluation year comparable sales. Woodbridge residents may begin to file applications for State and Town Elderly and Totally Disabled Tax Relief and Veterans Tax Relief Programs with the Assessor's Office.

Proof of 2025 income and Social Security earnings are required for State and Town Elderly and Totally Disabled Tax Relief Programs. Applications must be filed with the Town Assessor by May 15, 2026. Eligible residents include individuals who:  1. turned age 65 on or before December 31, 2025; individuals on Social Security Disability are exempt from age requirement.  2. hold full time residence in Woodbridge. 3. meet the State program income limits of $46,300 maximum for singles and $56,500 maximum for married couples. 4. meet the Town program income limits (for single or married) of $72,448 maximum to qualify for a $1,600 Tier 1 credit and $108,672 maximum for a $1,320 Tier 2 credit.Veterans Tax Relief is available through a local veteran exemption offered by the Town. There is no age requirement. Applications must be filed with the Town Assessor by October 1, 2026. To qualify, honorable discharge papers (DD-214) must have been filed with the Town Clerk’s office by September 30, 2025. The maximum income for this program is $71,300 for a single person or $81,500 for a married couple. 

All programs applications were mailed to residents who are presently on a program and need to refile. Tax Relief Program details and applications are available on the Town website, woodbridgect.org, via the Assessor's page or by calling the department at 203-389-3416. 

All applications may be filed with the Assessor’s Office at Town Hall during office hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. 

The Woodbridge Police Department is pleased to welcome Deputy Chief Raymond Quinn. Deputy Chief Quinn was officially sworn in during a ceremony held at Police Headquarters in December.

Deputy Chief Quinn brings extensive experience and knowledge to the department, having previously served the Town of Hamden for more than 28 years. During his tenure with the Hamden Police Department, he held several key leadership roles, including supervising the Patrol Division, Detective Division, Professional Standards Bureau, and the SWAT Team. Deputy Chief Quinn is a well-respected law enforcement leader and will be a great addition to the Woodbridge Police Department and our community. Congratulations to Deputy Chief Quinn. 

On Friday, February 6, the Human Services Department will host a Vaccine Clinic in The Woodbridge Center between 12:30-2:30 pm. Flu, COVID, RSV, Shingles, and Pneumonia vaccinations are available.

On Tuesday, February 3 at 6:30 pm, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will conduct a hybrid public information meeting concerning Exit 46, Route 15 Improvements. In the event of inclement weather, the meeting will move to February 10 at the same scheduled time. 

The in-person meeting will be held at the New Haven Fire Training Academy located at 230 Ella Grasso Blvd. in New Haven.

The meeting will provide the community with an opportunity to learn about the project, offer feedback, and ask questions. 

The Town of Woodbridge has been awarded funding through the Opioid Settlement Funds to support programs and events addressing the impact of the opioid crisis in our community and throughout the state. This funding will enhance prevention efforts through access to resources, education, and support. Two free upcoming community programs are being offered through the Human Services Department along with the Alliance for Prevention and Wellness.

Hidden in Plain Sight will take place January 22 from 6-7:30 pm at The Woodbridge Center (4 Meetinghouse Lane). This program is a unique opportunity for parents of tweens and teens to launch a conversation about substance use. This interactive presentation will explore a teen’s mock bedroom full of common items that could be used to hide or disguise drug and alcohol use, or other risky behaviors.

Naloxone Training will take place February 3 from 6-7:15 pm at the Woodbridge Library (10 Newton Road). Learn to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose, how to administer Naloxone, and other important information about the opioid crisis in CT. Naloxone and fentanyl test strips will be distributed to participants.

Woodbridge taxpayers are reminded that Real Estate, Personal Property, and Supplemental Motor Vehicle Taxes are due. To avoid interest penalty, taxes must be received in the Tax Office by Monday, February 2, 2026.  

Tax Office hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The office will be closed January 1 &19 due to the holiday work schedule. For your convenience, the Tax Office will be open Monday, February 2 from 8:30 am - 7 pm. 

For in-person payments, bring your entire bill to be stamped as your receipt. For mail payments, enclose your check, the entire bill, and a self-addressed stamped envelope for a return receipt. Payment must be postmarked at a US Post Office by February 2, 2026. Online credit card payments are accepted only via the Town website. A fee will be charged for this service.

To inform the public about the Heroes Tunnel Project, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will hold an in-person public meeting as well as an online meeting via Zoom on Monday, January 12. In the event of inclement weather, the meeting date will move to January 14 at the same scheduled times noted below.

The in-person meeting will follow an open-house format between 5-8 pm, giving attendees the opportunity to review materials, speak one-on-one with the project team, and listen to a presentation starting at 6 pm followed by a question-and-answer session. The meeting will be held at the New Haven Fire Academy at 230 Ella T. Grasso Blvd., New Haven.

The online meeting via Zoom will begin at 6 pm with the presentation followed by questions and answers. Registration is required through the CTDOT website which may be accessed here.

Woodbridge residents and businesses are encouraged to attend this important meeting to learn about proposed infrastructure and safety improvements to the Heroes Tunnel along with estimated project timelines and other project details. The meeting is designed for all stakeholders to understand the project and to offer the opportunity to ask questions and share perspective.

The Heroes Tunnel, located on the Merritt Parkway (CT-15) between Exits 46 & 50 (formerly Exits 59 & 60), is currently in the project design and environmental review phases. The last CTDOT public meeting was held in October 2017.

On Saturday, January 10, the first ever Community Volunteer Fair, hosted by Woodbridge Town Library, will take place. Stop by the Center Building gymnasium anytime between 11 am to 3 pm if looking to get involved in the Woodbridge community but aren’t sure where to start. 

Representatives from several nonprofit organizations located in Woodbridge and the surrounding area will be at the event. Drop in to chat with representatives, and to learn about the work these organizations are doing to make our community a great place to live! 

Whether you’re looking to save lives, help those in need, or just file paperwork now and then, you’re sure to find a volunteer opportunity that works for you. Explore the many different volunteer opportunities and find out if your skills are a good fit.

High school students looking to fulfill volunteer hours and families looking to volunteer together are welcome and encouraged to attend. Many organizations will take volunteers who are under 18.        While there will be about 14 nonprofit organizations at the fair, there is still room for more! Participation is a great opportunity to introduce your work to the larger community and network with other nonprofits with similar goals. The Woodbridge Assessor reminds eligible veterans to file the Permanently & Totally Disabled Veteran with 100% Service-Connected Disability Rating Tax Exemption Application with the Assessor’s Office no later than January 1, 2026. The qualifying Veteran Administration documentation must be submitted with the application.     Applications must be filed each year. To benefit Toys for Tots, new unwrapped toys may be dropped off from 9 am - 3 pm to D’Andrea’s Plaza on Saturday, December 6, or to Monro Auto Service on Friday, November 28. Pet supplies will be collected at Monro Auto Service to benefit the Woodbridge Regional Animal Shelter as well.

The Town of Woodbridge is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Smith, Jr., as new Chief of Police. The official appointment, made by the Board of Police Commissioners, took place late July.    Chief Smith brings decades of experience in law enforcement, having begun his career as a patrol officer with the Hamden Police Department. He advanced through the ranks, serving as Detective, Sergeant, and Lieutenant, and was promoted to Captain in 2006. In August 2021, he joined the Woodbridge Police Department as the Deputy Chief of Police.

Potential lifesaving training will take place in the Woodbridge Library on Friday, November 21 from 3 to 4:30 pm. 

According to the CDC, suicide is one of the leading causes of death in the United States, and rates are rising among teens and adults under 35. To help combat this crisis, the Woodbridge Town Library has partnered with the Quinnipiac Valley Health District to offer QPR suicide prevention training.  

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer—the three simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.

Amity Eats Week will take place from November 7 through November 15. Over 17 Amity Chamber of Commerce members will be participating by offering a variety of food and beverage specials.

Two Woodbridge businesses will be participating in Amity Eats Week. Stop by the newly opened Mantras Market, at 9 Lucy Street, and receive a free bread of choice (zucchini, banana and more) with the purchase of a large prepared meal entrée or large bag of granola. The Amity Chamber of Commerce (formerly the Orange Chamber) was rebranded earlier this year to serve Woodbridge, Bethany, and Orange businesses, and the Chamber organized the Amity Eats Week event. The annual Boy Scout Food Drive and the annual Holiday Basket Program are underway. Community donations are appreciated. 

On Saturday, November 1, the Boy Scouts will collect food throughout Woodbridge for the annual Food Drive. Residents need to simply leave donations curbside by 8:30 am for pick up. All donations will benefit the Woodbridge Food Pantry. 

Residents wishing to sponsor a family for the December Holiday Basket Program should call the Human Service Department at 203-389-3429 by November 7.  If unable to sponsor a family, monetary donations and gift cards will be accepted to include in the holiday baskets.

The annual Woodbridge Veterans Day Ceremony will be held Tuesday, November 11 at 11 am in the Center Building gymnasium at 4 Meetinghouse Lane.

The program will be led by  Dr. Barry Josephs, US Army  Captain, Vietnam Veteran. Ceremony highlights include patriotic music with vocals by Kathy  Barkin, a memorial wreath presentation, Invocation by Reverend  Brian Bodt, remarks by local elected officials and dignitaries, and the police honor guard. 

Woodbridge Town Offices, the Library, and Transfer Station will  be closed on Veterans Day.  

Election Day is Tuesday, November 4. Polls for the Woodbridge Municipal Election will be open from 6 am to 8 pm in the Center Building gymnasium at 4 Meetinghouse Lane. Same Day Registration will be available on Election Day. 

Early Voting will continue through Sunday, November 2,  in the Woodbridge Town Library at 10 Newton Road. Same Day registration will be available throughout the Early Voting period.

Monday, November 3, is the last day to stop by the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall to obtain an Absentee Ballot.  Absentee Ballots, Early Voting Ballots, and Same Day Registration Ballots will be centrally counted in The Center café between 8 am and 6 pm on Election Day. All Absentee Ballots must be returned by 8 pm on Election Day to be counted.

On Monday, November 3, the draft 2025 Town Plan of Conservation and Development (POCD) will be reviewed at 6:30 pm in The Woodbridge Center café (4 Meetinghouse Lane) at the Town Plan and Zoning Commission Regular Meeting. The public hearing on the draft 2025 POCD will be the Commission’s first order of business.

The Woodbridge Volunteer Fire Association (WVFA) will host its 14^th annual Halloween “Truck or Treat” on Friday, October 31, from  5-8 pm. The event will take place at the Town Center on Meetinghouse Lane. The rain date for this event will be November 1. Admission is free.

Fire trucks will be decorated for Halloween, and children may “truck or treat” in a fun and safe setting. Donations of candy are appreciated and can be dropped off at the Firehouse lobby Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm leading up to the event. The WVFA is seeking event sponsors. Early voting for the upcoming Municipal Election will take place from Monday, October 20, through Sunday, November 2, in the Woodbridge Library Meeting Room located at 10 Newton Road (across from the Center Building). Polls will be open from 10 am to 6 pm each day including weekends with extended hours from 8 am to 8 pm on Tuesday, October 28, and Thursday, October 30. Same day registration will be available during this period.

Absentee Ballot Applications are available in the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall or online via the CT Online Absentee Ballot Request Portal, myvote.ct.gov/getmyab.  

On Election Day, November 4, polls will be open for in-person voting from 6 am to 8 pm in the Center Building gymnasium located at 4 Meetinghouse Lane. Same day registration will be available.

Join the Woodbridge Recreation Department for its 43rd annual 5K Road Race and Children’s Fun Run on Saturday, October 4. 

The Children's Fun Run will begin at 9 am at the Fitzgerald Tract. The registration fee is $20. To register, go to the Recreation Registration page. On the day of the run, in-person registration will be available starting at 8 am at Fitzgerald Tract. 

At 10:30 am, the 5K Road Race will take place at the Woodbridge Town Center. Pay $40 to register online via runsignup.com. Online registration will be accepted on the morning of the race. 

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Woodbridge Resident Assistance Fund.

The 7th annual Living Treasure Event will take place at The Woodbridge Center on Thursday, September 25 at 5:30 pm. This year’s award recipients are Stephanie Ciarleglio, Richard Forselius, and Barbara Hagan Smith. Their service covers many Woodbridge Boards and Commissions as well as private organizations.

This community event, hosted by the Human Services Department, honors residents who have generously volunteered their time over many years, and serves as a fundraiser for The Woodbridge Center. The event includes a silent auction, a program, and dinner prepared by Lasse’s Catering.

On Saturday, September 20, Woodbridge’s clean energy progress will be celebrated. Come enjoy the Woodbridge Solar Showcase at the Woodbridge Town Library from 1-4:30 pm with a film screening and discussion, a Q & A about solar energy, and a hands-on activity. A Nature Poetry Picnic with Poet Laureate Charlotte Allen will follow at the Woodbridge Community Gardens from 5-6:30 pm. Bring a snack and chair to enjoy a picnic and poetry with your neighbors.

Both events are a part of the national Sun Day movement where communities throughout the United States are encouraged to embrace and recognize national solar and wind power progress.

In September, the Woodbridge Board of Assessment Appeals will meet to hear taxpayer appeals relating to motor vehicle assessments on the Grand List of October 1, 2024. Appointments will be scheduled on Friday, September 5 between 4-7 pm and Saturday, September 6 from 9 am - noon at Town Hall. This schedule is subject to change based on appeal applications received. 

To schedule an appointment with the Board, it is requested that a completed Motor Vehicle Appeal Application be returned to the Assessor’s Office by Friday, August 22. Applications are available on the Town website or in the Assessor’s Office at Town Hall. 

New State legislation, that went into effect October 1, 2024, has changed how motor vehicles are assessed. The new valuation method uses the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) and Depreciation Schedule (link below). With this change, appeals may be made on the basis that the motor vehicle assessment did not use the correct vehicle MSRP. Factors such as high mileage, body condition, salvage vehicles, and rebuilt titles are not considered with this valuation method.

In late July, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will begin an Exit Renumbering Project on the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) starting from the New York line. The duration of the project will extend about five weeks based on CTDOT current estimates. This project will be a night operation. 

It is expected that Woodbridge Exit 59 (CT-69 / CT-63, New Haven / Woodbridge) will change to Exit 46 by mid to late August. With the installation of new exit signs, the CTDOT will include smaller “old exit” signs that will remain in place for at least two years, giving businesses time to update advertising materials and other communications.

Woodbridge taxpayers are reminded that Real Estate, Personal Property, and Motor Vehicle Taxes are due July 1, 2025. To avoid interest penalty, taxes must be received in the Tax Office by Friday, August 1. 

Tax Office hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The office will be closed Friday, July 4, for Independence Day. On Friday, August 1, the office will remain open until 7 pm.  

If making payment in person, bring your entire bill to be stamped as your receipt. For mail payments, enclose your check, the entire bill, and a self-addressed stamped envelope for a return receipt. Payment must be postmarked at a US Post Office by August 1, 2025. Online credit card payments are accepted via the Town website only—a fee will be charged for this service.

Paper Shredding and Hazardous Waste (HazWaste) Collection will take place on Saturday, July 19, from 9 am to noon at the Woodbridge Transfer and Recycling Station, 85 Acorn Hill Extension. 

Woodbridge residents may simply bring their household papers to the Transfer Station for shredding. For HazWaste disposal, residents must submit an online HazWaste Central Registration Form prior to bringing any hazardous materials to the Transfer Station. 

Through October, residents may also dispose of hazardous materials every Saturday from 9 am to noon at the Regional Water Authority (RWA) located at 90 Sargent Drive, New Haven. This service is available to residents because the Town is a member of the RWA HazWaste Central Program.

June is Dog License Month in Connecticut. 

Woodbridge residents will now be able to  conveniently renew dog licenses online via the Online License Renewal Portal. A License Renewal Postcard with instructions can be expected the first week of June.

Dog License Fees are due June 30. Fees remain at $8 for spayed or neutered dogs and $19 for dogs that are not spayed or neutered. There will be a $1 Late Fee per month for renewals after June 30. Online renewals will be accepted through the end of August. Payment will continue to be accepted through the mail or in person at the Town Clerk's office.

The dog license, tag and clip  will be mailed once payment is received. Licenses are valid for one year through June 2026.

Please be reminded that dogs must be leashed at all times when in a public area. The town ordinance is in place for the safety of everyone in our community.  

On Monday, June 16 at 6:30 pm, the Woodbridge 2030 Task Force will host a Community Open House to share information and provide an update on the Business District Connectivity Project. The event will be held at Crest Lincoln of Woodbridge located at 185 Amity Road. 

At the Community Open House, the infrastructure design and steps to finalize the Connectivity Project will be reviewed. The project design is at 30% completion with groundbreaking expected to begin in the first half of 2026. Funds have been awarded to the Town through the Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program (LOTCIP) Grant to cover infrastructure construction cost for the project.  

The Connectivity Project, led by 2030 Task Force members, kicked-off in the fall of 2022 with concentration on making the Town’s business district more attractive for businesses and consumers. Pedestrian and cycling infrastructure have been a key area of focus with planning for sidewalks, light posts, and crosswalks. Ideas and input from Woodbridge residents and business owners that attended the initial three public meetings, along with public surveys, helped to conceptualize the project and to formulate a project plan.   

Woodridge residents, businesses and other interested parties are invited and encouraged to attend this important public session to ask questions, share input, and offer feedback. 

Community engagement is important. The next public information session will take place when the  project design is at 60% completion. Once this project design milestone is reached, the public meeting date will be announced.

Income-producing rental property owners are reminded that Income and Expense Reports are due to the Assessor’s Office by June 1, 2025. Volunteers are needed to help maintain and keep our wonderful Woodbridge trails in good shape throughout the year. Trail maintenance will take place the second Sunday of each month from 11 am - 12:30 pm. A different trail location will be tackled each month.

Volunteers should have sturdy footwear and work gloves. Leather gloves are recommended as some plants have thorns. Useful tools to bring include pruning saws, pruners, loppers, pick or mattock, and a spade. A limited number of tools will be available for use.

All trail maintenance events will be led by Trail Master Andy Danzig. If interested, please email info@woodbridgetrails.org.  In turn, please expect to receive a monthly email with details regarding the upcoming trail work and meeting location. Feel free to invite others.

The Woodbridge Memorial Day Ceremony will be held Monday, May 26 at 11 am in front of the Center Building at the Veterans of Foreign Wars monument. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held indoors at The Center café in the Center Building (4 Meetinghouse Lane).  

Led by former Army Captain Barry Josephs, the ceremony gives our community an opportunity to remember and express gratitude to all the fallen servicemen and servicewomen.  

The keynote speaker this year will be Edward Kacey—curator of the West haven Military Museum and Learning Center. The ceremony will include patriotic music, a memorial wreath presentation, the Woodbridge Police Department Honor Guard, Boy Scout Troop 907, and remarks by state and local elected officials.

Town offices will be closed to observe the holiday. 

On Monday, May 19 at 7:30 pm, a Special Town Meeting followed by the Annual Town Meeting will be held in the Center Building gymnasium at 4 Meetinghouse Lane. Electors and citizens qualified to vote in a Town Meeting are encouraged to attend these important meetings.

The Annual Meeting Call and Agenda packet was mailed earlier this month. The mailer includes links to meeting materials and budget information. Easy access to these links are available via a newly created section on the Homepage of the Town website (upper left side).

At the Special Town Meeting, the proposed Solar Land Lease at the Woodbridge Transfer Station will be considered for action. Information and materials may be viewed here.

Spring Fling tickets are now on sale! The Woodbridge Fire Department’s 25th annual Spring Fling will take place on Saturday, May 17. This fundraising event will begin at 7 pm at the firehouse (100 Center Road). Enjoy a fun-filled evening with food, drinks, music, and dancing along with a silent auction and a live auction.

Absentee Ballots are available to be picked up in-person at the Town Clerk’s Office, located at the lower level of Town Hall, during weekday office hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. There is no early in-person voting for the referendum.

A Rabies Clinic, hosted by the Woodbridge Regional Animal Control, will take place on Sunday, May 4 from 11 am to 1 pm at the shelter located at 135 Bradley Road.

The cost for dogs and cats to be vaccinated is $20 per vaccine—cash or check will be accepted. For a three-year vaccine, please bring your pet’s up-to-date vaccination record. Dogs must be leashed, and cats must be in a carrier.

On Wednesday, April 30, a Housing Information Session will take place from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Center Building gymnasium. This public session will focus on the role of housing in shaping a sustainable and economically vibrant community.

The intersection of housing, community development, and local economic growth will be addressed by a panel of experts. The list of panelists and the topics each panelist will discuss may be viewed here.

The Beecher Road School Superintendent Search is underway, and the Woodbridge Board of Education (WBOE) invites school parents and staff along with the Woodbridge community to participate by completing an online survey.  

The survey may be accessed here, or via the WBOE communication that may be viewed here. The survey will remain open through Friday, April 25. Comments will remain anonymous. 

The WBOE has engaged the New England School Development Council (NESDEC) to assist them in the search process. NESDEC will organize survey responses and provide the responses to the Board of Education in a Successful Candidate Profile.

The Board of Finance will hold its Preliminary Budget Hearing on Thursday, April 24 at 7:30 pm in the Center Building gymnasium (4 Meetinghouse Lane). 

Residents should have received in the mail the FY2026 Preliminary Budget Mailer which contains a summary of the operating budget. More detailed budget information is available in the Fiscal Year 2026 Preliminary Budget Just the Numbers Book and the Fiscal Year 2026 Digital Preliminary Budget located in the Annual Budget section of the Finance Department page on the Town website. The Preliminary Budget Hearing is designed so that residents may ask questions or make comments about the proposed budget ahead of the Annual Town Meeting. Following this hearing, the Board of Finance may make changes to the proposed budget which then will be presented at the Annual Town Meeting set to take place at the Center Building gym on Monday, May 19 at 7:30 pm.

The American Red Cross in conjunction with the Human Services Department will host a Blood Drive on Monday, April 28 from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm in the Center Building gym at 4 Meetinghouse Drive Lane.

This upcoming Sunday, April 13 from 11 am to 12:30 pm, a volunteer Trail Work Event will take place at Fitzgerald Tract. Volunteers will meet at the large Fitzgerald parking area off Beecher Road. 

Fitzgerald trail work will focus on: 

• assembling an 8-foot boardwalk and installing it over a wet part of the Blue Trail that leads to Beecher Road.
• finishing the Red Trail relocation into the woods adjacent to the Community Gardens.

Now through September 30, 2025, applications for the Renter’s Rebate Program may be filed with the Town Assessor's Office. To be eligible, Woodbridge residents must: • have turned age 65 on or before December 31, 2024. (Individuals receiving Social Security Disability must be 18 or older and meet other requirements below.) • be full-time Woodbridge residents. • earn income not greater than$45,200 for a single person or $55,100 for a married couple.

Proof of 2024 income and Social Security earnings are required along with copies of receipts or cancelled checks for all rent and utilities (excluding phone and  cable) paid in 2024.

The second 2025 Plan of Conservation & Development (POCD) Drop-in Open House will take place Tuesday, April 8 in the Town Hall Conference Room—stop by anytime between 4-7 pm. 

The 2025 POCD is in the process of  being developed, and the plan will identify our community’s visions, goals, objectives and action steps for the next ten years. 

The Open House will focus on theme areas, goals, strategies, and action items. Woodbridge residents, businesses, and interested parties will have the opportunity to review information, offer comments and share ideas.

On Tuesday, March 4, the Town Clerk’s Office will reopen for business during regular hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. 

In March, the Woodbridge Board of Assessment Appeals will hear appeals relating to assessments for Real Property and Personal Property on the October 1, 2024 Grand List. For an appeal to be heard, an Appeal Application must be completed and returned to the Assessor’s Office no later than 4:30 pm on Thursday, February 20, 2025. 

Applications and Application Instructions are located on the Board of Assessment Appeals page on the Town website. Carefully read the application instructions before submitting an application.

The annual appeal meetings are scheduled to be held:• Tuesday, March 11, 6-9 pm• Wednesday, March 12, 6-9 pm• Wednesday, March 26, 6-9 pm

Remember to include with the Appeal Application all documents to support your claim or an appraiser’s analysis of your property value based on the October 1, 2024 revaluation year comparable sales. Comparable sales are those of similar style, size, and location and must be from the year ending October 1, 2024.
