The responsibility of this department is to collect taxes due to the Town of Woodbridge by all means allowed by State Statute.

The second installment of the Woodbridge Real Estate and Personal Property taxes and the full amount of the Supplemental Motor Vehicle tax become due and payable on Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

Friday, February 1, 2019 is the last day to pay said taxes without interest.  Interest will be calculated from the due date of January 1, 2019 at the rate of one and one half percent per month or eighteen percent per annum.  Minimum interest charge is $2.00. In accordance with State Statute Sec. 12-130, failure to receive a bill does not exempt you from payment of taxes, interest charges and fees.

The office of the Tax Collector, located in the town hall, is open Monday thru Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the office will be closed, Tuesday, January 1, 2019 and Monday, January 21, 2019.

For your convenience the tax office will be open the following additional hours:

Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. till 12 noon
Friday, February 1, 2019 from 8:30 a.m.till 7:00 p.m.

Checks and appropriate bills may be mailed to: Tax Collector, Woodbridge Town Hall, 11 Meetinghouse Lane, Woodbridge, CT 06525.

If a receipt is desired, please enclose the correct bill and a self-addressed stamped envelope.  Credit card payments may now be made online (only).  There is a fee involved with using this service, be sure you understand the fee before you finish the transaction.
