The Woodbridge Center (The Center) provides activities, events, services, and resources for individuals 55 years of age and older. This includes health, recreational, educational, and social activities, an in-person lunch program, trips and much more. In addition, a meal delivery program and a transportation program is offered for those over 60 years of age and for adults of all ages with a temporary or permanent disability.
Human Services social worker Judi Young, a CHOICES counselor, is available to assist Medicare-eligible residents with questions regarding insurance. Judi also provides guidance in finding a wide range of other needed resources. She can be reached by phone at 203-389-3459 or email srsocialworker@woodbridgect.gov.
Important Announcements:
- The Center will be closed on February 16 in observance of President's Day.
- Coffee and Conversation with the First Selectman will begin at 10:30 a.m. (instead of 9:30 a.m.) on Wednesday, February 11.
- Bingo will begin at 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17 following the Madi Gras Luncheon.
- There is a $25 fee per calendar year for non-Woodbridge residents. Payment for the 2026 calendar year is now due.
- Pickleball fees ($20 for residents, $25 for non-residents) for the 2026 calendar year are now due.

What makes a parrot a parrot? What is it like to live with parrots and care for them properly? What are some unique behaviors and characteristics of parrots? Join our own Sharon Presner from the Connecticut Parrot Society to answer these questions and more. The Connecticut Parrot Society is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that provides education about the responsible care of companion parrots. There is no need to have a parrot to find out what all the squawk is about in this fun and informative presentation that will increase your understanding of these special birds! This February, we are bringing two wonderful traditions together for our Lunar Valentine's Luncheon. It is a time to celebrate the love of our community alongside the luck and prosperity of the Lunar New Year. Opal Stork of Woodbridge is sponsoring a delicious meal of egg drop soup, spring rolls, chicken and broccoli over rice, and a Valentine's treat for dessert. Whether you are coming to see old friends or hoping to make some new ones, there is a place for everyone at our tables, so please join us for this special luncheon.

Becket Greten-Harrison, PA and founder of Hearts at Home, will be available the 4th Thursday of each month (unless otherwise noted) to help answer questions and concerns about your health, check vital signs including blood pressure and perform a brief exam upon request. EKG monitoring is also available. Consultations are private, informal, and strictly confidential. No notes or other personal information will be saved. No appointment is necessary.

Be sure to stop by The Center's Library in the lounge to pick up a book, audiobook, CD or DVD. The Center's Lounge Library, maintained by the Friends of the Library, also has a grandchildren's section for clients who have grandchildren/great grandchildren visiting. You can also grab a coupon for your (great) grandchildren to go shopping for a free book at the Friends' Bookstore located in the Town Library.

Come enjoy a complete cardio and strength training workout to music. Bring your own 1- or 2-pound hand weights, if you have them, to use during the class. Try a complimentary class first if you are a little hesitant if it's the right fit for you!

Create paintings of your choice as Carole inspires beginners to intermediates to explore acrylic or watercolors. Bring a picture or photo for inspiration. No experience is necessary. Services Offered:
Transportation (Woodbridge residents only)
Those 60 years of age and older, or who are temporarily or permanently disabled, may call to arrange car or wheelchair accessible van transportation to medical appointments to 17 surrounding towns, local grocery shopping, banking, pharmacy pick-up, and social engagements. This service is provided Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 4:0 pm based on availability.
Delivered Meals (Woodbridge residents only)
Healthy, well balanced, flash frozen meals for $10/meal are available for delivery. Order by 4 pm on Monday for delivery to your home during the same week. Choose from a wide variety of options including turkey pot pie, oven fried chicken, fish Florentine and meatloaf. Meals include a roll, fresh fruit, and dessert. Two meal minimum order with a ten-meal limit. A wide variety of frozen soups are also available for $2.00 per 8 oz. container. Please call for more information.
Friendly Visitor Program (Woodbridge residents only)
Would you like some company during the day to talk about your interests? Call the Human Services Social Worker at 203-389-3429 to arrange a friendly visitor.
Medical Loan Closet (Woodbridge residents only)
Durable medical equipment, including walkers, wheelchairs, knee rollers, shower chairs, and more, are available for lending. Donations of wheelchairs are needed. Call Human Services at 203-389-3429 for details.
