The CDC now recommends that everyone wear masks in public, whether out for a walk or at the grocery store. You can help fellow Woodbridge residents by sharing supplies to make masks or by making masks.
If you have extra elastic or fabric (thick, quilters cotton; flannel or other heavy materials work best -- if you hold the fabric up to the light and no light passes through its good for a mask) please drop it off to the bench outside The Woodbridge Center, 4 Meetinghouse Lane (use the shared driveway with the Library). All material should be bagged -- no loose or materials please. Call 203-389-3430 to let staff know that you’re dropping off material and they will bring it inside.
If you have sewing skills but need fabric, call 203-389-3430 to arrange a time to pick up material or have it dropped off to you. In addition to material you will be supplied with a mask pattern. This is a link to the suggested sewing pattern; here’s a no-sew pattern. Completed masks can be dropped off to the bench or may be picked up, if necessary.
If you need a mask, please call 203-389-3430 to get on the distribution/pick-up list. You will be notified when masks are ready.
There will be no social contact during drop off or pick up of materials and masks
