Starting on November 4 (weather permitting) the following roads will be paved: Acorn Hill, Peck Hill, Pease and Woodfield.
This year the State of Connecticut’s vendor (selected because of its favorable bid) did not commit to a paving date and the work was deferred due to weather and State work. The Town’s vendor did the milling process in late summer, preparing the roads to be repaved. In collaboration with our Public Works Director and our Town Administrative Officer, I am taking steps to adjust our contracting provisions to ensure that a delay of this kind does not occur in the future.
