The Woodbridge Sustainability Committee, with support from the First Selectman's Office, is partnering with Peoples Action for Clean Energy, PACE, to offer our residents a unique opportunity to make their homes more energy efficient and save money on their heating costs. To learn more about HeatSmart and energy savings, attend the Sustainability Lecture at the Woodbridge Library on Saturday, January 11, at 3 pm.
HeatSmart Woodbridge is a community-wide effort that finds residents real solutions to save money on heating and cooling, and to reduce energy consumption.
The first step to become HeatSmart is scheduling a Home Energy Solutions (HES) Audit of Service so that you can start improving your home's energy efficiency right away. During the visit, technicians evaluate the home's energy performance, run a safety check of the current heating system, add weather stripping, seal air leaks, and if desired, add faucet aerators and low-flow showerheads.
What makes the HeatSmart Woodbridge initiative so special is that it's not just about individual households. It's about our community coming together to tackle shared challenges and support our neighbors collectively. For every HES Audit scheduled, $25 will be donated directly to the Woodbridge Resident Assistance Fund.
By embracing HeatSmart, we reduce our collective energy use, cut our energy costs, and ensure a brighter, more sustainable future for Woodbridge.
Visit HeatSmart Woodbridge for additional information about this initiative and to get started.
