The Town of Woodbridge is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Smith, Jr., as new Chief of Police. The official appointment, made by the Board of Police Commissioners, took place late July.
Chief Smith brings decades of experience in law enforcement, having begun his career as a patrol officer with the Hamden Police Department. He advanced through the ranks, serving as Detective, Sergeant, and Lieutenant, and was promoted to Captain in 2006. In August 2021, he joined the Woodbridge Police Department as the Deputy Chief of Police.
