Press Release – June 3, 2019

 2019 Special Olympics Torch Run

 The 2019 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Connecticut will pass through Woodbridge on Friday, June 7, 2019.

The anticipated start time for runners from the Woodbridge Police Department is approximately 4:00 p.m. on Route 243 at the Ansonia town line.

The runners, with a police traffic escort detail, will proceed east on Rte. 243, turn left onto Beecher Road, turn right onto Rte. 114 and then turn right onto Rte. 63.

Runners will continue southbound on Rte. 63 to the New Haven town line, where at approximately 1700 hours, they will pass off the torch to members of the New Haven Police Department.
