Voting by Absentee Ballot
All applicants for an absentee ballot must fill out the absentee ballot application, return it to the Town Clerk, receive the ballot from the Town Clerk and return it so the Clerk receives it by Election Day. This can be done in the Town Clerk's Office during regular office hours or by mail. To expedite the process, a paper application may be downloaded from the Secretary of the State's website, filled out and faxed or emailed to the office. When the Clerk receives the fax or email, the ballot will be mailed, but the applicant must also mail the hard copy of the application and it must be received by Election Day in order for the ballot to be counted. To download the paper application please visit:
Absentee Voting Information at the Office of the Secretary of the State
For each election, the Online Absentee Ballot Application request portal will open a few weeks ahead of the election at a date to be specified. Click the link above to request an absentee ballot online (in this case, no hard copy is necessary - your signature is validated via the DMV). When your application is received, your ballot will be mailed to you.
