1. Sometimes the live programs black out for a few seconds. Why?

The analog signal from our equipment in the meeting room has to be changed to another format before it is sent out to Cablevision (or Frontier TV). We believe the problem is in that unit. When we upgrade the equipment in the meeting room in 2017, the blackouts should stop. WGATV does not censor meetings, even for unprofessional language.

2. What if I don't have cable?

WGATV also transmits on Frontier TV (channel 99) --see "How do I find WGATV on U-Verse?" We also have a YouTube channel. Finding WGATV

3. How do I find WGATV on U-Verse/Frontier TV?

Go to Channel 99. All towns in Connecticut are listed alphabetically. Scroll down to "Woodbridge." You will be offered "WGATV - Woodbridge Govt. TV" (that's us!) as well as the channels from Soundview in Bridgeport.

4. Why don't we have closed captions on the programs?

At this time, closed captioning requires an outside contractor to create the captions for us to add to the programs. The services we know of tend to be too expensive for our budget. about 2016 FCC order on closed captions
