It is time to celebrate the grand re-opening of The Center!
The welcoming reception area sets the tone for The Center’s newly renovated facility that offers many amenities including a new HVAC system with air filtration and air conditioning. Also included in the updates are a private consultation office for meeting with the Human Services Social Worker or with a nurse during the “Ask the Nurse” program, a new audio-visual system which includes a new sound system, projector, and screen (funded by a federal grant awarded by Agency on Aging of South Central CT and fund-raising dollars raised at the Human Services’ Living Treasure Events), an upgraded kitchen, and much more.
Beginning June 22, those over the age of 55 are invited to stop by The Center on weekdays between 9 am - 4 pm to sign up to be a member, pick up a Center Calendar with program details, and register to receive regular email blast updates.
The Center will continue to offer its existing variety of programs—all activities and exercise classes, except pickleball, will meet in The Center starting Thursday, June 22.
Starting July 18, those 55 and older can enjoy an afternoon lunch in the new café. The Center’s in-person meal program will resume on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
