Composting The Woodbridge Sustainability Committee could use your input.
We would like to help you compost. Food waste is the largest component of waste, about 20% by weight. Diverting food scraps from the waste stream returns nutrients to the soil rather than burning them to ash in incinerators that is then buried in landfills. Food scraps are easily converted into compost that can be used growing healthy gardens by fertilizing plants and building healthy soil and helping retain moisture. Do you compost? Would you like to learn to compost? Please take our short survey.
