GOVERNMENT ACCESS TELEVISION COMMISSION WGATV production area in Town Hall Woodbridge Government Access Television (WGATV) was started in 2000-2001 by arrangement with Cablevision of Southern Connecticut. WGATV provides programs and information about town and local government on channel 79, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Since May 2006, WGATV is overseen by an appointed town commission, GATCom, which normally meets on 4th Tuesdays of the month in Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. Most programming and production is carried out by the part-time coordinator, Pua Ford. Most of the town meetings are recorded with the help of Amity High School students trained in video production.
We have procedures for requesting that an event be recorded and for requesting copies of past programs, subject to approval by the commission and by the limits of our resources. Woodbridge residents with questions are welcome to contact the coordinator by e-mail pua4d@hotmail.com (with “WGATV” in the subject line).
Recent televised meetings are now available for viewing on the internet, click here to be directed to the WGATV blogspot.
